Luva Huva – Ethical Lingerie

Luva Huva is a ethical lingerie fashion brand that makes beautiful garments for women. What makes Luva Huva great is the fact all garments are made with soft luscious fabrics that are ethically produced from soy, bamboo or organic cotton and silk, whilst being hand made in Brighton, England. So you can feel sexy and comfortable, safe in the knowledge that your underwear has integrity (leaving a moral ecological footprint on the world).

On the launch of Luva Huva ‘Pre Season Collection’ we caught up with the founder, Joanne Ketterer to ask her a few questions about the new collection launching at one of the most romantic times of year (dare i say it, Valentines).

What inspired you to  create Luva Huva?

Coming from a textile background I have always loved discovering new fabrics; one day whilst exploring in a vintage market I found some beautiful fabric which inspired me to make something unique and personal. So I made my first pair of frilly knickers! After that I wanted to make personal lingerie for women and focused my attention on finding ethical fabrics for added value.

Where are you based?

I started the fashion brand in London but recently moved down south to Brighton. I was lucky because most of my team decided to move with me. So production kept a steady flow as all the fabrics are hand-made in the studio by the team.

What is different about the new collection?

The new collection has some of the old classics and a few new designs, including the Daniella, Kelly and Hepburn. I have used a selection of new fabrics, fine laces, silks and jerseys in black, white, pink and red (favorable for Valentines). The team wanted to focus on luxury and making statement items for strong women…the feeling of wearing quality intimates gives women a sense of self confidence!
